30th Cinema City multiplex opened in Poland. New Cinema City with 9 screens opened in Bytom.

Today Cinema City International opens its 30th multiplex in Poland. The new Cinema City in Bytom has 9 screens and 1 522 seats and it’s equipped with four digital projectors. Poland is the largest market of operation for Cinema City. The Company operates 332 screens and 5 Orange IMAX® theatres in the country.

“We are very happy in reaching today our 30th project in Poland which became our leading market. This opening in Bytom represents extremely well our strategy where as the growth of infrastructure is always followed by growth of admissions and entering a mid size city that did not have a cinema is clearly growing the Polish market”, said Moshe (Mooky) Greidinger, CEO of Cinema City, the largest multiplex cinema operator in Central & Eastern Europe and in Israel. “We are getting towards the end of the year which was good for the industry and CCI and we still have another 10-plex to open in Bulgaria before the new year to complete a great job done by CCI team.”

Cinema City sold 7.6 million tickets in the first six months of 2010, what was 50.0 % of all admissions sold by CCI during this time. In Poland the Company operates almost 47 % of its screens and 109 halls are digital. Recently the Company has implemented its own Internet ticket sales system in all its multiplexes across the country. Tickets in all Cinema Cities and Orange IMAX® can be bought on www.cinema-city.pl .
