CINEMAESTRO - From Royal Opera House to Cinema City

The most famous operas of the world on the big screen.


Lovers of opera and ballet, all those, who cannot live without entertainment of premium artistic value as well as those, who want to find out if opera is the form of art they will enjoy, will have occasion to see the most refined opera performances without travelling to London. Registered live in the Royal Opera House they will be presented on the big screen in Cinema City Arkadia, Mokotów in Warsaw, Manufaktura in Łódź, Kazimierz in Kraków, Bydgoszcz, Krewetka in Gdańsk and Plaza in Poznań already since 27 March 2009.


The project is held under the honor patronage of Mr Bogusław Kaczyński.


The CINEMAESTRO cycle will begin with „one of the most beautiful operas of our times” like Carmen was called by Piotr Czajkowski. The viewers will be able to see such treasures of the world opera and ballet like: Romeo and Juliet, Sleeping Beauty, Noces de Figaro and Don Giovanni of the most renown world composers : Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Piotr Czajkowski, Sergiusz Prokofiew and George Bizet. Huge cinema screen and perfectly pure sound will ensure ideal environment for admiring the talent of the world format celebrities of the Royal Opera House in the master music and choreography setting (as well as in Polish language version).
