Cinema City opens second multiplex in Romania. Plans to open 6 more multiplexes in the country in 2008
In the presence of the president of the city, city officials, film distributors and hundreds of guests CCI opened its second project in Romania in the city of Timisoara.
The new multiplex has 7 screens and 970 seats.
The city of Timisoara is one of the big and famous cities in Romania with a population of 315k people. The project is a part of the biggest mall in the city and is the first and only multiplex in the city.

Mr Greidinger also added that these are the first steps in gaining the leading position in the Romanian market as well as strengthening CCI leading position in all countries of operations.
In the first half of 2008 Cinema City plans to open 3 new multiplexes, in the cities of Cluj and Braila (10 screens each) and Bacau (8 screens). In 2008 as a whole the company intends to open a total of 6 new multiplexes, including the first of 5 planned for Bucharest, with 15 screens.
Romania is Cinema City’s sixth country of operations (after Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria and Israel).The company operates 62 multiplexes (including cinema in Timisoara) with a total of 515 screens.
