Opening of multiplex in Gliwice
The Cinema City International N.V. group (“Cinema City”) is opening a multiplex in Gliwice, its 23rd multiplex in Poland. The cinema offers 13 screens and 2333 seats.
“This is a very important investment for us,” said Moshe J. Greidinger, CEO of Cinema City, the largest multiplex operator in Central & Eastern Europe and in Israel. “It will be the first multiplex in Gliwice, a city with a population of about 200,000. Pursuant to our strategy, currently we are investing chiefly in medium-sized cities, which continue to lack a modern cinema infrastructure. Our cinema will be located in a large new shopping mall, Forum Gliwice, in the very heart of the city.”
The cinema in Gliwice is the fifth facility opened by Cinema City since the beginning of 2007. (In January the Company took over the Kinepolis cinema in Poznań, in March it opened cinemas in Rybnik and Sosnowiec, and in mid-June it opened a cinema in Lublin).
