Cinema City opens in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
In the Czech Republic Cinema City has 14 multiplexes with 119 screens.
Today Cinema City opens its 14th multiplex in the Czech Republic. In 2011 the Company has expanded in the country following acquisition of 8 Palace Cinemas multiplexes, which have been integrated with Cinema City organization already during the past year. The cinema in Forum Nova Karolina center in Ostrava has 8 screens and 1 195 seats and all halls are digital.

Cinema City in the Czech Republic has multiplexes already in 7 cities: Prague, Ostrava, Ústí nad Labem, Plzeň, Pardubice, Brno and Liberec. Ostrava is the third largest city in Czech Republic and the second largest urban agglomeration after Prague.
In 2011 Czech operations generated EUR 26,8 million revenue (increase by 96,8% over 2010), which made 10% of the Company’s total revenues in 2011. In 2011 Cinema City in the Czech Republic sold 3.6 million tickets (increase by 94.8% over 2010). Extensive growth of revenue and admissions is attributed to consolidation of Palace Cinemas multiplexes acquired in January 2011.
Cinema City International is the largest multiplex cinema operator in Central & Eastern Europe and in Israel. The Company operates 96 multiplexes with 909 screens, in 7 countries (Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Israel). There are 32 more multiplexes under development, which will offer approximately 340 new screens. In addition, Cinema City is actively involved in cinema related advertising and film distribution.
In 2011 Cinema City sold 35.5 million tickets in 7 countries, 16.2% more compared to 2010.
The Cinema City group employs over 4,000 people in 7 countries.
